The Karakoram highway is approximately 1300km (810 mi) long from China to Pakistan. The length of the road in Pakistan is 887 km which is (551 mi). The rest 413 km falls in China which is about (275 mi).

History Of Karakoram Highway 

It's not wrong to say that people sacrificed their lives for the construction of this road, The Highway construction started in the year 1959, completed in the year 1979 but it took a long time to get in working for the public after 27 years of intense labor, in the year 1986 the Highway was opened for public. A lot of people lost their lives during the construction of this road due to landslides and falls. Around 810 Pakistani Workers and 82 Chinese workers died while working on this road. The Official name of the Karakoram highway is N35 in Pakistan.

Abbottabad And Mansehra
