Pacco Qilo (Hyderabad Fort)
Or the Pakka Qila is also known as the Hyderabad Fort. It is a major historical heritage that is still standing in 2021, Pakka Qila is located 1 km far from the Hyderabad Railway station. The Fort was built by the Ghulam Shah Kalhoro when he established Hyderabad in the year 1768. The fort still is in its original condition, the word Pacco Qilo is a Sindhi word which means “Strong Fort” and the fort stayed truthful to its name by standing strong till date. When the Britishers came to Sub-continent they demolished several structures to make way for military supplies and army, But the Hyderabad fort still survived.
Kacha Qila (Makki Shah Qila)
The word Kacha Qila translates to “weak fort” this Fort was also built by the Ghulam Shah Kalhoro but instead of using baked bricks that are strong, unbaked mud bricks were used hence the name originated as the Kacha Qila. The Fort is now in a desolated state But as it Contains the Shrine of Makki Shah it is still visited by people and is known by the name of Makki Shah Fort.
Tomb Of Talpur Mir’s
The Talpur’s are known for ruling over the Sindh, The Talpur dynasty ruled Sindh from 1784 to 1843, The tomb complex holds 5 major mausoleums of the Talpur rulers and some smaller mausoleums of their family members including their wives and children. This place is enclosed and preserved as a tourist attraction and is well known for its tile decoration.
Badshahi Bangalow
Badshahi Bangalow is the Palace where the Last ruler of Hyderabad Prince Mir Hassan Ali khan lived. He was the son of Mir Nasir Khan Talpur. The bungalow is present in Latifabad unit 4. It was constructed in the year 1863, the bungalow holds the essence of Mughals and their lifestyle that is depicted by the things placed inside the bungalow.
